The challenge: selling custom products online
Studio Yume makes custom stickers, labels, party favor boxes and stationery to order in Guadalajara. The hard part of this kind of business is that almost nothing has a fixed price: 50 stickers don't cost the same as 300, a holographic finish changes the per-piece price and every order needs the customer's logo or artwork. That's why many shops like this end up selling only over WhatsApp, with no catalog Google can find.
What we built
A custom store (Next.js) designed for that sales model:
| Business need | How it was solved |
|---|---|
| Price by quantity, finish and cut type | Calculated on the server from a single catalog, the customer sees the exact total before paying |
| Take payments without leaving the site | Mercado Pago built in, with every order recorded and confirmation emails |
| Products that are quoted, not bought directly | A WhatsApp quote button with the message pre-filled (for example, custom temporary tattoos) |
| Customers who buy from their phone | App-like navigation, cart and checkout built for mobile |
| Customers outside Mexico | A full English site with translated URLs |
SEO from day one
Instead of launching the store and "dealing with SEO later", every product shipped with an optimized page (a title with the real search phrase and price, product, shipping and returns structured data), and the store was connected to Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster and Google Merchant Center from the start.
On top of the catalog we published useful guides that answer what people actually search for, chosen with Search Console and Google Trends data rather than gut feeling. Each guide links to the product that solves that need, such as the custom waterproof vinyl stickers or the personalized party favor boxes.
What the data showed
Using Search Console we reviewed every page that showed up on Google's first page without getting clicks, and rewrote its title and description to match the real search. The measured result is in the table below: in the first half of October the store already had more than three times the impressions of all of September.
What's next
A new store competes against marketplaces and brands with years of history. What comes next for Yume is what no on-page optimization replaces: real Google reviews, directory presence and links from relevant sites.

FAQ
- What kind of store is Studio Yume?
- A made-to-order custom products store in Guadalajara: vinyl stickers, logo stickers, party favor boxes, temporary tattoos, prescription pads and NFC plates for Google reviews, shipping across Mexico.
- Why not use a Shopify or Tiendanube template?
- Because custom products have no fixed price: it changes with quantity, finish and cut type. A custom store calculates that per-piece price on the server and charges it exactly, with no monthly platform fees.
- How does the store take payments?
- With Mercado Pago built in. The price is always recalculated on the server from the catalog, never trusted from the browser, and every order is recorded with its payment status.
- How long does SEO take for a new store?
- Yume got its first Google impressions the same week it launched (August 2026), and by the first half of October it already had more than all of September. Competitive buying keywords take months and also depend on external links.
